Sony Ericsson Spiro - Is That a Samsung D500 Rip off?

Monday October 18, 2010

The first impression that Sony Ericsson Spiro gives is of a walkman. The second impression makes you think that the ‘smartphone’ is a Samsung D500 rip off. I don’t know what Ericsson guys were thinking while manufacturing this smartphone.

However, Sony Ericsson Spiro is only recommended to those folks who like to walk around with an Mp3 machine, during long brisk walks, and hardcore gym sessions. At £40, the price is right I think.

Cheap products also mean that you have to come forth without wishful thinking. There’s not a lot to expect in Spiro, most of its so called features are a mere repetition of startup handsets. There’s no Wi-Fi connectivity, its absence was really missing.

We picked up a black colored Sony Ericsson Spiro for reviewing. Just like the Samsung D500, you can slide the keyboard to check out the level of carelessness with which the keys have been placed. The keypad is also strong and doesn’t look that durable.
