Both the phones have a collection of fresh colors but now you can show off your ‘Green’ credentials by showing for an eco-friendly version of your favorite new smartphone.
Nokia has teamed up with mobile operator Telefonica to offer consumers eco-friendly versions of the Nokia N8 and Nokia C7 smartphones. This is more than just offering up recycled cardboard boxes and smaller packaging as you’ll find the phones have been stuffed with apps to help you reduce your carbon footprint further.
They have come with a high-energy charger, so charging times are reduced and packaging is kept to a minimum with the Startup guide reduced to single piece of paper. Fire up your smartphone and you’ll find an educational game, along with a number of other third-party apps.
Both have an energy efficient AMOLED screen and pack in an energy-saving mode too. Then there are the materials the devices are made of, with the Nokia N8 using bio-plastics, while the Nokia C7 just happens to be the first smartphone to use bio-paints.
Set to release it, we’ll be finding the “Green Customer Experience”, as its being called, will quickly rollout to here in the UK, followed by Germany, Argentina, Peru and Chile. However, there are no firm dates as to when this rollout will happen, so here’s hoping we get a chance to go green in the New Year. News Source: noknok.tv
