Htc Desire is better than Samsung Galaxy S

Saturday October 16, 2010

The last 12 months have brought us some super-hyped, high spec Android smartphone, in particular from HTC and Samsung, and the range of Android phones is growing at an extraordinary rate. We asked you, the people on the ground with these smartphones in your hand, what you thought were the best Android phone out there. The winner, by a surprisingly large proportion, was the HTC Desire.

The HTC Desire stole 51 per cent of the vote, with the Samsung Galaxy S sprawling behind by a long way, with just 24 per cent of the vote, despite the troublesome rollouts of Android Froyo 2.2 in the HTC Desire and its troublesomely short battery life.

The Nexus One only managed to take nine per cent of the vote for the best Android phone, despite being made by Google itself, and being well received at launch. The lower-specced HTC Legend and Dell Streak pulled in less than five per cent of the vote each.
